Pre-care:

  • No advil or blood thinners 24-48hrs prior to your appmt

  • Do not get botox/filler within 3 weeks prior to your appmt

  • Avoid use of retinol/retin-a 2 week before your appointment

  • No caffeine the day of your appointment

  • Do not drink alcohol 24hrs before your appointment

  • Cannot be pregnant or nursing

Post-care:

  • Day 2-14: Gently clean your brows using lukewarm water on a cotton pad morning and evening. Apply a tiny amount of aftercare ointment if your brows feel dry.

  • Avoid the following for 2 weeks: brow makeup, skincare products on the brows (cleansers, serums, moisturizers), skin treatments, steam, saunas, pools, workouts that will cause facial sweat, direct sunlight, tanning, laser, UV, picking/scratching your brows

Pre-care:

  • Must take anti-viral medication prior to your appointment if you have any history of cold sores

  • Lips must be hydrated (apply nourishing lip treatments and drink plenty of water)

Post-care:

  • Day 1-3: After eating, cleaning your lips with water and apply ointment once dry. Avoid direct contact of food and drinks on your lips. Avoid spicy food, and use a straw if necessary.

  • Day 1-7: Keep lips moisturized. Do not pick or peel.

  • After scabs have come off, you may apply makeup on the lips and continue with your regular routine, still keeping the lips very moisturized. Lips take 28-40 days to show the true colour.

Pre-care:

  • You cannot get your eyebrows wet for 24 hrs after the treatment (suggest washing hair etc beforehand)

  • If you get threading or waxing, must not be within 24 hours of your appointment

Post-care:

  • Do not get eyebrows wet for 24 hours

  • Avoid any heat/steam for 24 hours

  • Apply oil 1x day and brush into place

  • Optional: condition brows 1-2x week with conditioner

Frequently asked questions

What should I expect after my brow tattoo?

Following your microblading appointment, your skin will typically take 6-8 weeks to heal although the visible layer of your skin should heal around the two week mark. A touch-up is recommended within the 6-8 week mark to achieve your desired results. Immediately after your procedure, you may feel some discomfort (redness, soreness) and this should subside within 24-48 hours. During the first week of healing, your eyebrows may appear darker and the colour will lighten as the skin is healing. It may take up to a few weeks for you to see clearer hairstrokes and the desired colour. Dryness, flaking, and scabbing is normal. Please do not itch, pick, or peel. Microblading tends to have the best results on dry skin types as oils could affect the pigment and results. If your eyebrows are feeling very dry, apply a grain size of coconut oil or unscented lotion (aquaphor, lubriderm).

Aftercare is very important and will have a big impact on your final, healed results. Each individual skin is different which means healing time, pigment retention, and the number of sessions required will vary from person to person.

How often should I get touch-ups?

We highly recommend a touch-up 6-8 weeks after your initial microblading/powder brow session. The initial appointment is focused on building the structure, and the second session is usually focused on building density and making any adjustments if needed. Cosmetic tattoo will lighten over time and a touch-up is recommended every 1-2 years. This time frame is different for each individual and is based on skin type, life style, sun exposure, skin treatments, medications, etc.

Is it painful?

We use topical numbing before the treatment (5% lidocaine) for maximum comfort, and also numb during the procedure. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but majority of clients find the pain very minimal. (1-3/10).

Can I workout after?

Avoid all workouts that will cause you to sweat for at least 7-10 days after your procedure.

How long are the appointments?

Microblading and powder brow appointments are booked for 2 hours. Lip blush appointments are booked for 3 hours. Brow lamination appointments are booked for 1 hour.
